- Built for teaching and interaction The Edu is the FF Master edition set up for classrooms, interaction studies and home learning rather than low-level development.
- Visual and no-code programming Students build behaviours in a basic visual programming platform and the Openclaw no-code tool.
- Talks and performs from day one Built-in functions cover everyday conversation, questions about objects, singing, poetry recitation, greetings and head-pat responses.
- 25 degrees of freedom Head, arms, waist and legs are articulated through 25 joints, excluding the hands.
- The FF Master drive train A 3 kg maximum payload, 1.8 m/s top speed and 120 N·m peak joint torque match the Master Ultra.
- Swappable 500 Wh battery Each pack gives about two hours of walking, charges in 1.5 hours or less and swaps out between sessions.
Description
The FF Master Edu is the teaching and interaction edition of Faraday Future's FF Master humanoid. It stands 131 cm tall, weighs 35 kg and is aimed at universities, school programmes, research groups studying human-robot interaction, and families who want a humanoid that talks, performs and can be programmed without writing low-level code.
Mechanically it shares the core of the FF Master line: a frame of magnesium and aluminium alloys with engineering plastics and polyurethane, a maximum payload of 3 kg, a top speed of 1.8 m/s and 120 N·m of peak joint torque. The Edu articulates its head, arms, waist and legs through 25 degrees of freedom, excluding the hands, and it can hold a conversation, answer questions about objects around it, sing, recite poetry and greet visitors from the day it arrives.
The sensing and software are deliberately simpler than on the Master Ultra. Perception is an RGB camera, a head touch sensor and a 6-axis IMU, with an interactive screen and lighting effects for expression, and the robot connects over Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Programming runs through a basic visual programming platform and the Openclaw no-code tool on Faraday Future's Intellectual & Interactive and Locomotion & Manipulation platforms. LiDAR, cellular connectivity and open SDK access for secondary development belong to the Ultra, which is the edition to choose if your team plans to write its own robot software.
The battery is about 500 Wh, swappable, rated for roughly two hours of walking and recharged in 1.5 hours or less. Faraday Future lists a mobile app, facial recognition, custom wake words, motion remixing and video-to-motion as in development for later over-the-air release, so plan a programme around the functions it has today.
