The DaFang DF033 is a wall finishing robot built for residential work. One wheeled base takes four interchangeable working modules — concrete wall grinding, putty skimming, putty wall sanding and paint spraying — so the same machine covers wall preparation and finishing in apartments, houses and other residential buildings with storey heights up to 3.3 m.

DaFang sized it for the narrow corridors and small rooms of housing: 750 × 750 × 1550 mm and up to 160 kg. It runs from a 220 V supply or from its own lithium-ion batteries (2 × 60 Ah, 48 V, 6-hour charge), so it can work on cable where there is a socket and on battery where there is not.

On the wall, DaFang's lab figures put painting at up to 150 m²/h, with a 0–3,850 mm spraying height and 8–12 MPa spray pressure; skimming at up to 50 m²/h from 200 to 3,400 mm; and putty sanding at up to 60 m²/h from 300 to 3,150 mm with 60–320 mesh paper. Paint comes from an external 20 L bucket, and putty for skimming from an external material feeder.

It drives itself with laser radar and visual cameras, an autonomy level DaFang rates as L3, detects obstacles and warns of them, and maps its working path by SLAM. Voice alerts include remaining paint level, an Android or tablet app controls it, and a cloud portal lets a site manager follow its location, status and progress. For walls up to 6 m DaFang builds the larger DF062; the DF033 MINI is the lighter, smaller unit.
